Gateway’s Description:
Flight Numbers: 9 | 5 | -0.5 | 2
The Diablo is an accurate overstable fairway driver that will turn over slightly when giving it enough speed and fades fast when speed decreases. A great choice for distance flex shots that require an accurate landing.
The Diablo will quickly become a go to control driver for any who bag it.
Snap’s Description:
Gateway produces the most underrated discs in the industry. While they get some credit for their putters, even more underrated are there drivers. I think a real factor in their putters gaining notoriety is the supreme quality of their baseline plastic – sure grip. Sure grip is a thermo-plastic rubber blend producing amazing grip and durability. It’s one of the best kept secrets in disc golf. This version of the Diablo is in that same plastic in 150 class. The Diablo itself has the flight characteristics of a staple control/fairway driver required for any bag set-up. In our experience, the Diablo has a slight turn and straighter flight that isn’t entirely represented by the numbers Gateway assigned it. In 150 class it is effortlessly straight on both backhand and sidearm throws. At 150 grams it’s a great tool for cleaning up form.
